Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. As an official for the Space and Defense Department, Kristin Fisher covers all aspects of space including NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses and tourism in space. As the daughter of 2 NASA astronauts, Kristin grew up in the industry of space. She spent the last five years covering the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. In that period, Kristin also covered presidential impeachment proceedings as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 as well as efforts of two administrations to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won an Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter before becoming a reporter for CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for corporate customers including Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., with her family, including their daughter, who is three years old.
